Chongqing is a major city in southwest China and one of China's four municipalities under the direct administration of central government. Chongqing is a mountain city which is located on the top of mountains. The rolling hills and the buildings built by the mountains give Chongqing a vertical landscape. Chongqing is also known as the "Fog City". Only when you dispel the layers of its misty veil, can you see its true beauty. At the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River, the sky and clouds meet the high-rise buildings with the mist scattering like a fairyland. It is also called "The Stove" due to its hot weather and the local spicy food. The local people are very straightforward and bold. Yummy snacks, beauties and hot pot are all the symbolic labels of Chongqing. It is a good choice to travel from the hot Chongqing to Lhasa to escape the heat.
