The rest of the day will be free for you to explore on your own or stay In and rest up from your trip.

Accommodation:Overnight in Chengdu

Day2  Dujiangyan Giant Panda Base Volunteer Work
We will get an early start this morning as your tour guide and driver will pick you and your family up from your hotel around 7 a.m. for the 90-minute drive to the Dujiangyan Panda Base for the opportunity to work as a volunteer at the base from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are more than 40 giant pandas and 5 red pandas at the Dujiangyan Panda Base. During this special one-day panda volunteer program, you will have the opportunity to act as honorary panda keepers by cleaning up bamboo, sweeping up panda poop, washing the enclosures, observing and understanding the pandas’ status and living conditions, and preparing food for the pandas. You will get to experience the fun of making a “Panda’s Cake” and deliver fruit to the pandas yourself while learning about the pandas’ diets. Watch a free panda documentary that tells all about the science of a panda’s life and how humans are trying to protect them and how we can live in harmony with these wonderful creatures. You will also be able to plant bamboo shoots and trees, and create name tags as well as other more interesting and meaningful activities that help with caring for the pandas. After your day of helping the pandas, you will receive an official certificate from CCRCGP designating you as a Giant Panda Caretaker as well as other souvenirs such as a panda badge, a panda t-shirt and a panda club magazine.

After your exciting day up close and personal with the pandas, we will take you back to your hotel in Chengdu to relax for the night.

Note for today’s trip:
1) Volunteer work for children: Children must be more than 12 years old to partake in the Panda Volunteer Program. If they are under 12 years old, special activities can be arranged so that they can interact with the pandas – please contact our friendly travel consultants for more information.
2) The Dujiangyan Panda Base can accept up to 20 volunteer workers per day. If you want to be a panda volunteer, you should apply at least one week in advance with the official application form and Health Examination Form (a valid medical certificate with a doctor’s signature) that can be done in either your home country or in China.

Accommodation:Overnight in Chengdu

Day3  Morning Chengdu Tour – Afternoon Departure from Chengdu
After breakfast, we will take you to visit the sacred Wenshu Temple, which is hidden in a peaceful location right in the middle of modern Chengdu. This temple is the most popular Buddhist temple in the Chengdu region. With its beautiful, traditional and ancient architecture, the atmosphere is very calm and quiet, with some people praying, right in the midst of a busy and modern urban city. The grounds have a small garden and the monastery is very colorfully decorated, making it a fascinating place to visit.

After the Wenshu Temple, we will experience the leisurely pace of the life of the locals at Renmin Park and Jinlin Street. Renmin (People’s) Park is where the locals go for a relaxing walk, to meet friends or have a cup of tea. Jinli Street, by contrast, is a street mainly for tourists but it does offer a view of the way things were in ancient times. You can wander along this traditional old street to absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu while tasting the local snacks, watching street performers, etc.

After the tour, we will take you to the Chengdu airport or train station for your departing flight or train on to your next destination.

Most beautiful place to go! Tour guide very funny and knowledgeable. Tour guide very good on taking picture. Suggest more site seeing and less temple. Suggest to eat hot pot every night. We reach the tallest point of 5248. Make sure not to fall to sleep. Make sure to take high altitude sickness bill and travel sickness bills before going. This trip is not for everyone, but for those whose are health and want to have some advantages. Make sure to bring flu and cold medicine with you since you can get sick very easily during winter. Very cold during the winter and make sure to bring enough cloths. Bring lotions, sun glasses and gloves. Make hot water every night in hotel and put it into the drink bottle to warm your bed. Best if you take the train to go in and plane to get out. But check the weather first, if snowing make sure to take the train. Once snowing, all plane will stop flying. Most beautiful place to go! My best friend and I were looking forward to taking the train ride from Xining to Lhasa. Unfortunately, until the day we landed in Chengdu, our tour operator (different from Asia Odyssey) was unable to purchase the tickets for us. I contacted Danny after Googling and he was extremely helpful. Within 3 hours of contact, he had our train tickets. They were delivered to our hotel the next day before we left for Xining, and until we boarded the train, he was in contact with us to ensure that everything went smoothly. Thanks to Danny, we got to experience this once in a lifetime journey! Highly recommended for excellent and fast response! Thanks, Danny!

We went to Tibet at June 2019,our tour was arrange by Amy from Chengdu, she is very kind and helpful, we have a lot of questions before the trip, she can answer them with full of patience.

First day, our driver and tour guide waited at airport and drive us to our lovely hotel (4 star himalaya hotel). the tour guide Mr Ba Sang from Tibet is very caring and helpful throughout the journey. Everything is well planned and taken care of. He brings us to nice local restaurants and have a good taste of local cuisine. In temple, we given detail explanation on the culture and explain to us the practice of the people. Experience at Everest Base camp is unforgettable, we able to see the remarkable view of everest mountain.

Tibet is a place you will want to visit again and again.

Driver Mr Xia is a good, responsible and steady driver. He drives us safely to all locations.

Hopefully next time we can join the Ling Zhi trip to see flowers in spring time.

Highly recommended this tour and this travel agents for their excellent service. We are happy to join on this tour.

We are thankful so much again to our agency Asia Odyssey Travel and my dear Amy for the wonderful arrangement and make my trip to Mt Kailash trip possible, really apperiated! We did Kora around Mt.Kailash for 3 days in August as I had been looking forward this trip for quite a long time, even the second day of Kora are hardest to all of us because part of the roads are covered by snowing with long-distance walking and quite high altitude too, so we spent a lot of physical strength on this but it’s totally worth because the views along the way are very incredible, I think we may not have much chance or time to go there again.

Anyway, I really miss Tibet also my dear, hope we will come and see you one day again, many thanks again for all of your help!!!
