This morning your local tour guide will pick you up from your Chengdu hotel to visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center – the world’s largest panda scientific research center and the residence of more than 100 giant pandas. You can stroll at your leisure through the bamboo lined pathways that lead to each panda home where you can closely observe giant pandas of all different ages as they eat bamboo, play with each other, climb trees, etc. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to see the mother pandas nursing their cubs in the center’s nursery rooms. You can also visit the very informative Panda Museum to learn about the history and science involved with this amazing species. After meeting the pandas, we will take you to a hidden ancient Buddhist temple right in the middle of bustling downtown Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. This spiritual haven contains exquisit Buddhist architecture, peaceful tree-lined paths and a quiet, reverent atmosphere befitting its centuries of history as an important temple.

Chengdu is widely recognized throughout China as a laid back, relaxing city, and you can witness this firsthand when we take you to visit Renmin Park. Relax and order a pot of Chinese tea and chat with your traveling companions as you watch the locals indulging themselves in many traditional activities including playing mahjong, dancing, etc. After a calming visit to the park, we will take you to the famous Old Jinli Street for a stroll on the lively streets full of delicious local snacks, traditional handicrafts, folk shows and much more.

I had to mention our tour guide – Puktso because he is too nice. He is very passionate and thoughtful when he talked with us on the daily tour arrangement. We reschedule a little bit and he gave us great ideas. I like all the stories and insight knowledge on local life he shared with us. We enjoyed a wonderful trip with his company.

My first and only group tour trip so far. What shall I say? Everything worked like a clockwork. My group mates where great and we had a lot of fun (and celebrated new year successfully). The travel agency (asia Odyssey travel) was definitely a good choice. The advises and caretaking I got from my agency (thanks amy, you are an angel ) was better then the one of my other group members (we talked about it openly). I'm lucky that I choose this trip, tour and agency. It was a good experience and I can definitely recommend it if you like a good and organized tour through tibet.

- From arranging our Tibet Permit, organizing paperwork, answering all sorts of questions/doubts, our travel consultant SHIRLEY was amazing. A big thanks to her for making us highly trust the company.

- And a big shout out & thanks to our guide DAWA TSERING (guide) - DAWA GANTESN (driver) from TCT, for an amazing time & experience.

Both were welcoming, polite, helpful, knowledgeable, kind.

- Amazing trip..

I had an amazing, memorable trip with Amy/Odyssey: 9 days incl. Lhasa, EBC and Namtso Lake. Amy's service was excellent. From our first contact until after the trip all communication and organisation was very fast, clear and exhaustive. Our guide, Sun, made the whole trip even better. He is a really great, funny and laidback guy, proud Tibetan with very good knowledge of all relevant topics. Take into account that the pronounciation of English by Tibetan people/guides is of a different level than that of native speakers, and when you listen a bit more active than you normally do everything will be clear. The hotels were of a higher standard then expected which was really nice to start and finish the day. I recommend Amy/Odyssey to anyone planning a trip to Tibet! I will definitely go again with them on my next Tibet trip. June was a great time for weather and Tibetan festivities which made trip even more special.

Most of the people go to Tibet for spiritual enlightenment. I don’t see myself a purser of religion. But when I stood in front of Jokhang Temple, watching the numerous pilgrims. I was shocked than I would have imagined. Tibet is a wonderful place from local people to the natural resource. What makes this trip extradinary is our excellent guide. He accompanied us wherever we want to and showed us local spots off the beaten track. He is pretty good at English, always shared interesting stories. I learned a few Tibetan phrases from him. The hotel arranged by our agency is well located. We were able to walk around and found local restaurant easily. Anyway, great experience
