Ngari in Tibet is a mysterious region with an average altitude of 4,500 meters, which is known as "The roof of the world". This shows that altitude of Ngari is really high. Altitude:The altitude of Mount Kailash is 6656 meters, and the altitude of the scenery of Mount Kailash that you can see is about 5000 meters.
Location:The holy lake and Mount Kailash is separated by the xinjiang-Tibet highway, the diatance of which is about 30 kilometers away.
Altitude:The altitude of Mapangyongcuo is 4588 meters.
Location:The ghost Lake, Rakshas, is close to the holy lake, and the distance between them is about 5 kilometers. Mapangyongcuo is a freshwater lake, while Rakshas is a saltwater lake.

Location:Shiquanhe Town is the state capital of Ngari district, which is located at the intersection of Guoshilong highway and Xingjiang-Tibet highway.
It is the famous Hongliutan, and it is also a place that people must pass if taking the great northern circle line of Ngari. If you go from there towards the east, you will see the great Qiangtang Grassland and the Naqu county with a number of rivers and lakes. The Kunsha Airport of Ngari is just located in the valley of Shiquanhe Town which is 45 kilometers away.

Altitude changes of the Ngari-Naqu-Lhasa Highway (The Northern Line of Ngari)
The Northern line of Ngari is mainly to pass through the Qiangtang and Nagqu Grassland. The lakes and wildlife groups throughout the grassland are the biggest highlights of viewing. The elevation of this line fluctuates little, and the overall elevation remains at about 4500 meters.
Despite the high altitude of Ngari, the tourists among us who went to Ngari did not have obvious altitude sickness. Instead, they enjoyed the whole trip.

Secondly, the journey to visit the attractions of Ngari is arranged in the later part. Generally speaking, the travel route is Lhasa-Shigatse-Everest Base Camp-Shenshan Shenghu（The Sacred Mountain and Holy Lake)-Zha Da Tu Lin-Guge Dynasty.
There will be 3 days or so after arriving in Lhasa for tourists to adapt to the altitude, and then it takes 2 to 3 days from Lhasa to Mountain Everest Base Camp.
